To celebrate 10 years of working together, retailer HAVEN has teamed up with Neighborhood on a 4 piece capsule collection commemorating the occasion. Among the pieces are a modified M-65 that’s made in Japan from washed cotton herringbone and cotton sateen. Other pieces include the MIL-BDU / C-PT pants which are tailored with a relaxed fit and come updated with large cargo pockets, patch reinforced knees, and zip thigh pockets. Rounding out the collection is a duo of graphic tee’s with oversized collaborative mil-spec prints. Available now at HAVEN.

Neighborhood re-interprets the classic M-65 field jacket this season with this olive drab version. The cotton ripstop jacket is put through a vintage wash and equipped with the traditional zip-out hood, epaulettes and classic four pocket arrangement. The M-65 is an essential menswear staple, scoop this one over at END.
Neighborhood SS16 Lookbook
Neighborhood’s new lookbook Spring/Summer 2016 is divided into three distinct sections. The first shows looks that play on military staples and styling. The second is a denim themed, with full outfits of indigo distressed jeans and jackets. The third harkens back to early 1900s American looks, bringing back the types of pieces that may have been worn by craftsmen and factory workers of the era. More information is available on the Neighborhood website in anticipation of a February release.
Neighborhood Fall/Winter 2015 Lookbook
While still closely defined by it’s streetwear roots and the ‘motorcyclist’ aesthetic , the Neighborhood of recent years has gone towards referencing 40’s and 50’s Americana. This creates an interesting balance between the different sides of the brand, as the label is now releasing such a wide breadth of product. The fall/winter 2015 lookbook is highly stylized and has a strong workwear thread that runs throughout it. While workwear has been repeated over and over in the past few years, the angle at which NBHD approaches it still feels fresh. On top of some rugged outwear coats and leather jackets, there’s some great denim in here. If you’re a bit intimidated by the selection, shopping the collection by piece through the website can give some more insight into how you can work these pieces into your own wardrobe. Check out the entire collection here.
Neighborhood FW15 Editorial
GRIND Magazine puts their unique point of view on the Fall/Winter 2015 Neighborhood collection with this concise editorial. The photography focuses on the details in the outerwear and the relaxed styling is a logical accompaniment to Neighborhood’s take on street wear. My take on the collection is that the barbour-style coat is a banger. You can find current season NBHD stuff over at END.

Style Inspiration: Neighborhood Editorials
Most of the time I much prefer looking at clothing through editorials rather than lookbooks. Over the years I’ve saved quite a few images from various sources that feature pieces by NEIGHBORHOOD. The brand has such a strong point of view and I appreciated the way stylists and photographers were able to flip it’s brand image any manner of ways. To find inspiration for my personal style I like to look back at both old editorials of brands I like just to see the evolution of the brand. The range of editorials after the jump range from moody and militaristic to more casual everyday style.
Neighborhood & WTAPS FW13 Editorial
Pretty Canadian girl in WTAPS AND NEIGHBORHOOD so you know I had to post this right. Model Emma-Mackenzie Jardine is shot by Jan-Michael Stasiuk for Haven in the select items. I definitely need one of the WTAPS logo hoodies in my life and that Neighborhood incense chamber is one of the coolest collectable branded items I’ve seen this year. Shop these pieces on Haven and see more photos after the jump.
