Dominate SS18 Lookbook

I previously covered Dominate Jakarta, announcing it as one of the most exciting brands coming out of Indonesia. The team at Dominate is back for a Spring/Summer 2018 offering , releasing a lookbook that draws inspiration from different musical movements. The focus this time around shifts from the 70’s punk seditionairies movement as well as reggae music.  These musical influence is sprinkled throughout the collection itself which also focuses  on outerwear, graphic T-shirts, long-sleeve crewnecks and printed button-down shirts. My personal favorite item from the collection is the khaki and olive  nylon pullover. For more info on the products check out their Instagram. Click through for more images.

Raf Simons Technique Classic Hoodie

The current season of Raf Simons, sees the designer bringing back some classic graphics from Peter Saville’s Archive. Amongst the most striking pieces is this simple red hoodie that uses the cover artwork for ‘Technique’ – the fifth studio album by New Order. A thick cotton jersey hoodie, the piece is a modern re-telling of Raf’s long history collaborating with Peter Saville.

032c Frank Ocean Editorial by Mel Ottenberg and Petra Collins

In the new issue of 032c, a piece has appeared written by Alex Needham reflecting on Frank Oceans music over the last couple years. Certainly Blonde and Endless were unbelievable influential and personal projects and among my all-time favorites. The story comes with a photographical accompaniment which also captures Frank Ocean in a relaxed suburban setting wearing vintage pieces and CdG Homme Plus. Photographer Petra Collins and 032c’s fashion director Mel Ottenberg worked together on the piece which is well worth a read over at 032c.
