Grailed has become one of the best websites to buy sought-after menswear online.  While heads still scour eBay, Japanese auction sites and online message boards to find ‘grail’ designer items, Grailed has made the process easier to navigate for many. The site adds over 20,000 new listings each month featuring everything from street wear staples by NSW and Supreme to hard to find designer brands like Yohji Yamamoto and Saint Laurent.  I spoke with the site’s founder Arun Gupta about the progress of the site, it’s future and what the community of Grailed has come to represent.

Undercover SS15 Editorial – Slam Jam Socialism

Celebrated Italian retailer Slam Jam Socialism presents their take on the Undercover Spring/Summer 2015 collection.  Religious reference and renaissance paintings have been part of UC designer Jun Takahashi’s repertoire for some time now and this editorial investigates this inspiration at the source. The Sanctuary of the Blessed Virgin of San Luca was selected as the backdrop for this photoshoot. Situated on top of the hills around Bologna, the well-worn stonework effectively contrasts the current UC collection.

On the Ground in Baltimore – Photos from Seige Treasure

If you’ve caught the news at all over the past week, tensions have risen in Baltimore resulting in clashes between protestors, rioters and police. The media has been heavy criticized and many have turned to social media to get a better account of what is actually happening in the city of Baltimore. Photographer CJ Treasure has been on the ground in Baltimore using his camera as a means of documenting what’s been transpiring there. What he has been able to shoot reveals a compelling portrait of how the current protests have affected the community from law enforcement to families.

See more of his work here and also check out his first-hand account of the first night of unrest with Complex.

LOOKS / LIES 001

Today marks the launch of a new feature on Third Looks called ‘LOOKS/LIES’. The concept came as a result of various discussions between my friend Jayne Lies and I.  We’ve teamed up on some projects in the past including the Verticals music video for Celestial Trax and we always found the experience rewarding and eye-opening. We decided to launch this feature together as a means of preserving a moment in time (through photographic snapshots) in a quick and fun interview format. This ongoing series will serve as a platform through which we can document each subject’s style , aura thoughts and experiences within our local communities and beyond.

To launch the feature, Lies took a few photos of myself as I had been looking for a way to share my personal style is at currently. Through the word association style  interview questions that she put together, you should also get to know where i’ve been and where my head is at now.

Check out the full feature after the jump
