You’ve definitely seen plenty if not all of the iconic logos above. Red Bull Music Academy presents a great little read where the origins of 22 legendary logos are explored and explained. The feature is well worth reading for some unexpected stories and little known facts about some of the most unforgettable imagery in music. For example an early version showed a warrior’s severed head, held by his dreadlocks by a hand extending from the W, and had “Wu-Tang Clan” written through it in faux Asian-style handwriting.
