Raf Simons has been cranking out terrific work for Jil Sander but I feel as he’s been treating his own brand like an unloved stepchild. While I do respect some of the risks Raf has taken and his new perspective he’s pursuing it stands in my mind that he may have lost sight of the DNA of his brand ; A subversive take on counter-culture mixed in with sharp tailoring. That being said not all hope is lost as his designs for his namesake brand have been improving since a strong AW10. This video just dropped and reveals some styled menswear looks for AW10. I am definitely enjoying the color palette and there are some individual pieces which are a terrific fit for the coming fall weather.
